EPFO notification - work status of Nepal and Bhutan workers in India as Indian Worker
Dear All, Please find below gazette notification dated 02nd November 2016 amending Employees’ Pension Scheme, 1995 and Employees' Provident Funds and Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1952 relate to Nepal and Bhutan worker who working in India. The gist of said notification is as follows: “Provided that the worker who is a Nepalese national on account of Treaty of Peace and Friendship of 1950 and the worker who is a Bhutanese national on account of India-Bhutan Friendship Treaty of 2007, shall be deemed to be an Indian worker.” If you find this notification useful then kindly re-share with you professional circle.
