Dear All, As per recent amendment in Profession Tax Act of Maharashtra i.e. Maharashtra State Tax on Professions, Trades, Callings and Employments Act, 1975, the salary slab of female employees has been revised / changed from Rs. 7,500 to Rs. 10,000 which means that female employees whose salary upto Rs. 10,000, the Profession Tax upto that salary slab will be NIL.
