Difference between HR Policy & Standing Order
Dear All, If often seen that when any establishment been asked about standing order, they usually think that their HR Manual or HR Policy is same as Standing Orders. Hence, in this post we will discuss about what is difference between HR Policy and Standing Order. To begin with it can say that it is a central enactment called the Industrial Employment (Standing Orders) Act, 1946 (Standing Orders Act), which, inter alia, requires the employer to define and publish uniform conditions of employment. Further, Standing Order is a legal requirement when the Industrial Employment (Standing Orders) Act,1946 becomes applicable to any establishment. To add up, when it is approved by the Certifying Officer appointed under the Act, no unilateral deviation or departure can be made in respect of any matter certified without resorting to necessary amendment in this regard.
