Employment Of Women In Night Shifts And Opening Of Establishment On Weekly Holiday Under Rajasthan Shops And Establishment Act 1958

Dear All,

Please find below notification from Rajasthan Government which published in the Official Gazette dated 19th May 2017 and has exempted all shops and commercial establishments employing five or more employees from the provision of Section 12 (1) "Weekly Holiday" and Section 22 "Prohibition of employment of women in night shift", for a period of three years from 19th May 2017: wherein subject to the compliance of the conditions laid down in the notification the establishment can remain open throughout the week and women can be employed in night shift respectively. Whereas in relation to employment of women in night shift in the shop and commercial establishment the employer is a woman, establishment is operated by women and all employees are women, the exemption is valid for four years.
